Preserving the past. Building the future. Strengthening our community.

About Us

OUR VISION

To build a thriving, inclusive Eastside neighborhood where residents take pride in their community, enjoy a high quality of life, and celebrate the diversity that makes Paterson strong—creating a place where people choose to live, grow, and invest for generations to come.

OUR MISSION

Eastside Neighborhood through the improvement of our quality of life, fostering the diversity of our community and to promote the advantages of living in our Neighborhood. ESNA is a group of volunteer residents who want to improve and make a better Paterson.

OUR HISTORY

The Eastside Neighborhood Association was founded in 1979 by a dedicated group of homeowners committed to maintaining the stability and historic integrity of one of Paterson’s most treasured neighborhoods. For over four decades, ESNA has been a voice for residents, an advocate for preservation, and a catalyst for community connection. The Eastside Park Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 7, 2004. Our neighborhood features approximately 1,000 homes spanning a remarkable range of architectural styles, including Tudors, Georgian Colonials, Victorians, Italianate villas, and Dutch Colonials.

ESNA 2.0 Boundaries

ESNA serves the area bounded by East 33rd Street (Vreeland Avenue) to the west, McLean Boulevard/NJ Route 20 to the east and north, and 20th Avenue to the south, in the City of Paterson (the "City"), County of Passaic, State of New Jersey ("the Neighborhood") The Neighborhood lies on both sides of Broadway within these boundaries and encompasses the section called the Manor Section on the north of Broadway and the Eastside Park Section on the south side of Broadway

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Welcome to ESNA 2.0 a renewed vision grounded in respect for our past and a clear focus on our future. As President, I am honored to build on the strong foundation laid by the leaders who came before me. Their dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to this community created the path we now walk. ESNA 2.0 exists because of that work and we carry it forward with purpose. At the same time, we are forging ahead with a shared goal: to strengthen our neighborhood by creating a true community of neighbors. A place where people look out for one another, work together, and take pride in the place we all call home. We believe real progress happens when connection meets action. Through engagement, collaboration, and a commitment to growth, we are working to ensure that every voice matters and every resident has a role in shaping our future. This is more than an organization it’s a collective effort to build something lasting, together. Thank you for being part of the journey.
